My kid loves the sound effects that play when Scaredy Squirrel finally takes that leap. The story really got them talking about being brave even when you're scared.

The leap from the nut tree to the unknown actually makes this a great pick for kids who worry, and the story moves quickly enough to hold attention from start to finish. Ended up reading it twice in one sitting, which says more than I could.

My kid was nervous about trying new things, and this card turned into a bedtime favorite. The story of Scaredy Squirrel leaving his tree feels exactly like the leap we’re taking together. It plays clearly on the player and keeps their attention from start to finish.
