The folktale vibe is genuinely creepy in the best way, and Otilla escaping danger had my six-year-old completely hooked on the first listen. We've played it on car rides at least ten times now and it hasn't gotten old.

My kid asks for this one every single night, and honestly I don't mind because the folktale voice acting is genuinely eerie in the best way. Otilla's escape story had us both holding our breath on the first listen.

Otilla's escape from danger had my six-year-old completely silent in the backseat, which never happens. The abandoned house on the barren hill is genuinely creepy in the best way, and the narration makes it feel like a real folktale rather than a kids' story.
