La couleur des oiseaux

The story’s pace is perfect for winding down before bed—my little one asks for it every night, and the legend about the birds’ colors always sparks questions. The card is sturdy, and the audio quality is crisp even on lower volume, which I appreciate. It’s a lovely way to introduce indigenous tales

My kids have listened to this Calchaquí legend three times in a row — the storytelling pace is just right for winding down before bed. The dice format makes it easy for my five-year-old to pop in and start the tale on her own.

It’s rare to find a legend retold with this much warmth, and my kid keeps asking for it every night. The narration pulls you right into the Calchaquí story, and the way the birds’ colors come alive through sound is genuinely moving.
