Baseball räddade oss

My son is only five, but the author's narration of this internment camp story had him completely quiet — the soft background sounds really helped set the mood. It's a heavy topic handled gently enough for kids, and the baseball angle keeps it engaging.

I love that the actual author reads the story—it brings so much emotion and weight to the experience. My kids were completely drawn in by the personal narration and the soft background sounds.

My son is learning about WWII in school, and hearing the author himself read the story made the history feel so much more personal and real for him. The soft background sounds add just enough atmosphere without being distracting.
