My son is obsessed with the movie, and this junior novel retelling captures the story perfectly for his reading level. The chapters are just the right length for bedtime, and he loves following Joe’s journey.

My kid’s a huge Soul fan, so we grabbed this for the Yoto player and the junior novel retelling is perfect for her age. The pacing keeps her engaged through the whole story, and she’s already listened to it twice on car rides. Exactly what we needed to extend the movie magic without a screen.

I’m in my 30s and bought this for myself—the junior novel retelling captures the film’s biggest moments without losing the emotional punch. The pacing is perfect for a quick evening listen, and Joe’s journey still managed to make me tear up.
