My 3-year-old actually sat still for the whole banana story because she recognized her own meltdowns in it. These little slice-of-life tales are short enough for bedtime but still give us something to talk about after. The sharing playdate one sparked a surprisingly good chat with my daughter.

The nail-cutting story was a lifesaver—my daughter actually let me trim her nails after we read it together. The banana tantrum one gets a laugh every time too.
